EMIG Scotland meeting March 18th

AXIS Consulting is delighted to announce that Brenda Dooley, CEO of AXIS Consulting has been appointed as Managing secretariat of EMIG Scotland. 

Brenda’s first meeting as Managing Secretariat will be the EMIG Scotland Special Interest Group on March 18th 2021 from 11.00am to 12.00pm. Brenda will be speaking alongside Dr Andrew Walker, Director Salus Alba and ex reviewer at Scottish Medicines Consortium.

Dr Andrew Walker will update members on recent and key developments at the SMC.  He will present his assessment of SMC decisions in 2020 as well as looking at the impact of the PACE process on the reimbursement of Orphan Medicines in Scotland including their use of modifiers. Andrew will also highlight the route taken by a number of medicines in Scotland on their journey to reimbursement.

Brenda will then present highlights from the Scottish Landscape Report written and published by AXIS Consulting and comment on differences in the routes being pursued in Ireland for the same drugs as Andrew has highlighted for the SMC.
